Teapot lamp

Taking up the challenge from Fretex, the Norwegian salvation Army to upcycle whatever materials they could not sell, we excavated their garbage containers to find unloved and usable objects and materials. During a Redesign Summer Camp organised at Transplant we made several objects, like a monumental curtain made from white shirts and a one legged drawershelf. From the exploration, we prodused a handmade upcycle series: “Tekannelamper”(tea pot lights) and “Ståltrådlysestaker” (steel wire candle holder). These series got international attention, through David Report, NordicDesignBlog, DesignSpotter and others. Several objects where curated to the exhibition “Brukbart” in the KODE Museum Bergen, Norway. The Drawer shelf was bought into the permanent collection of KODE.
